The Essence of Wholesomeness

Everyone who has read this blog over the last 6 years knows that Matt and I have not agreed on too many things and because of that I have never supported his campaigns or even voted for him.

George Allen’s comment on Matt’s “wholesomeness” yesterday really hit a nerve with me. Being the delegate means you represent your constituents and lead by expressing where you stand on issues.

I guess it is discouraging to see Matt fall in line on things like “abusive driver fees” and not publicly disagree when he sees his fellow republicans do things that hurt our state.

There are two types of people. Those who kiss rear ends, and those who have their’s kissed. I think there is a part of Matt that would love to “go rogue” like Sarah Palin, but he is worried that he will offend those in the republican hierarchy that he thinks he needs.

There is nothing wrong with being “wholesome”, but there is something wrong with lovin’ on peoples’ backsides…..

I guess Matt is going to have to decide if he really wants the summation of his political career to be the “essence of wholesomeness”.

and just what is the summation of your political career myron. a loss in the clerks election, irritating people trying to serve the public, circulating petitions against people who are innocent until proven guilty, or being just a jerk in general?

    Just being a jerk.

Its obvious, you hold some type of personal grudge against the guy. Did something happen between you two as teenagers?

  4. admin says:

Actually, it did… and Matt and I have discussed it. It’s my problem not his.

Regardless, I understand where Matt is coming from and he understands where I come from. We are both over it, and I consider him a friend.

The politics is different. When he does something I disagree with, we now have an understanding that I will go to him first. And of course, when he does something that deserves kudos, I’ll express that just like I would with anyone else…republican, democrat…OR INDEPENDENT!

The things you want done are so wacko, no one from any party can find agreement with you. That’s why they just smile, and move away from you slowly. (Always facing you, of course, to watch for the knife-in-the-back.) Just what the H… do you believe in anyway? I have never seen any candidate suit you.

What do I want done that is wacko?

Mark Obenshain, Emmett Hanger, Chris Saxman, Kai Degner, Carolyn Frank, Dee Floyd, Fred Eberly, Steve Landes, Ben Cline, Todd Gilbert, Bob Goodlatte, Bill Bolling, Ken Cuccinelli, Marsha Garst, and Chaz Evans Haywood all suit me….

    What’s your problem?

  7. bob says:

Wow, I can’t believe you support all those people. My bad.

They still move away slowly. You think you have a big knife.
