Highlights of the afternoon:
Wearing John Elledge’s pretty blue “lawyer” scarf. (I have pictures.)
Hearing Matt Lohr be called the “Essence of Wholesomeness”…..new type of perfume possibly?
Hearing small gasps as Chaz tells everyone that “Myron Rhodes will be leading us in the invocation”.
And a special thanks to Senator Obenshain for picking up my bill. I sensed a little unwillingness at first, but he quickly warmed to the idea when he realized I wasn’t kidding.
Also present was Myron Rhodes … the Republitarian blogger … who offered a very sincere invocation. I wasn’t one who gasped (read his six-line update … obviously, he’s not as wordy as I) but was a tad surprised. No offense. From what I’ve read, he is a man of faith … and was wearing a trademark baseball cap (apparently he wears them often).
LOL it was totally swacgirl that gasped.
I’m glad you liked the scarf, Myron. I’m also glad I got it back.
I hope you wash it before you wear it again.
I was standing a few tables away and wondered if this was an attempt at allowing Myron to humiliate himself.
