The republicans did not win because people are thrilled with them. They won because they are the alternative. Electoral politics is nothing but a vicious cycle where the party out of power is only voted back in when people begin to fear the party in power. Tim Kaine’s assertion that the loss on Tuesday was because of “local issues” is a joke. It is a slam to the great slate of candidates that the dems put up locally. If Tim Kaine is going to find these local issues that caused this loss, he’ll be looking a long time and he’ll never find them because they don’t exist.
If Gene would have been running in last year’s political climate, he could have come real close to winning, instead of being outperformed by an independent candidate, who spent no money, and didn’t knock on door number 1, in the previous election.
You dems better back out of this health care bill, cap and trade, and any amnesty bill you’re working on.
Remember, Hillary’s health care bill in the early 90’s lead to Newt’s takeover of the house.
