It’s a shame that people have to carry a “D” or an “R” after their name in these local (area) elections. Gene would make a great delegate and has the experience to be very effective. Matt is a nice guy but not a “go to” type of individual. Let’s face it, the county “Rs” elected Phoebe and when she retired she willed the seat to Weatherholtz who didn’t have a clue and when the “Rs” realized Glenn didn’t have a clue they annointed Matt, to keep Elledge from getting the seat. Now, Li’l Matthew may hold it for another 40 years!

I was not shocked to see these elections go to the Republicans, it’s just the way things tend to work. Elections always seem to swing to the side of the party not in the White House. But I am shocked by this loss and sad to see how these things work locally.
I do have to admit that I find it strange that people really thought Obama could fix this enormous mess in one year. We gave Bush eight years to do his job, and Obama only gets one? Sorry, I’m going to give him his full four years and see how I feel about him then.

I’d be in favor of starting now to seek a candidate to take Lohr out two years from now. I concur with Jamie’s view of how we got Lohr.

I don’t know hoss, over in the other America, Obama is still the POTUS, the House and Senate is still Democratic and another House seat was picked up on Tuesday. First Democrat in that seat since like the 1800’s.
