The DNR, Hamstrung by Nexus “Cease and Desist” Letter, Fails to Report Late Amended Complaint

This is Kristen Reid, a paralegal for Nexus Caridades Attorneys, Inc., the vexatious entity clogging up both state and federal courts around the country with legally baseless lawsuits. On September 21, 2017, Reid filed an Affidavit with the Rockingham County Circuit Court in support of a motion to file an Amended Complaint against Harrisonburg Mayor, Deanna Reed and her boyfriend, Steven Thomas, which was dismissed back on September 1, 2017, after Nexus failed to file an amended complaint.

In paragraph four of her Affidavit, Reid states:

I misunderstood the deadline for the Amended Complaint to be 21 days from the date of the Order, instead of 21 days from August 14, 2017 and calendered it as such for the firm.

The language in the Order of September 1, 2017 is quite clear, which means you have to believe that Kristen Reid is either perjuring herself in the Affidavit, or she’s a complete idiot:

Plaintiff may file an amended complaint with 21 days of August 14, 2017, failing which this case stands dismissed with prejudice, in which case this order stands as a final order.

And, of course, one could easily believe Kristen Reid is a complete idiot, except that you’ll note that on Page Two of the Order, Jessica Sherman-Stoltz endorsed it.

If you’d like, you may read the Amended Complaint filed along with Reid’s laughable Affidavit.
